Show your pup some love this Valentine’s Day!

Supplies:

  • One Kong
  • Mixing Bowl
  • A safe (easy cleanup) area for your dog to enjoy their Kong

Please reference the Kong User Guide for the correct size for you pup. Amount of ingredient will vary based on the size of your Kong.

Peanut Butter Delight Recipe:

  • Peanut Butter
  • Apples
  • Carrots
  • KONG Peanut Butter Treats
  • Banana
  • Steps:

Slice your apples, banana, and carrot into quarter/inch size cubes. Then stuff a table-spoon of peanut butter into the bottom of the classic KONG. Next put a layer of treats, then put another layer of peanut butter. Continue this process with the apples, banana, and carrots until you completely back the classic KONG. Freeze overnight, so your dog will have to work harder to get all of the goodies out of the KONG. Layering is a great technique for KONG treats. Your dog will get a tasty surprise and work hard to get to all the treats in each layer.

PawBerry Blast Recipe:

  • Yogurt (plain)
  • Blueberries
  • Toasted oatmeal
  • Raspberries
  • KONG Sweet Potato Vegan Treats

Toast oatmeal in oven on 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown. You will probably only need to toast 1/4 cup of the oatmeal, but use your judgement based on the size of the classic KONG. After your oatmeal is toasted, combine it in a bowl with the yogurt and berries. Mix together until you have a good yogurt granola. Fill the KONG and top with some blueberries to keep the yogurt from seeping out. Freeze overnight, or least for 2-3 hours. Your dog is going to LOVE this  PawBerry Blast, and this is a great healthy treat for your pup. Yogurt can help your dog digest food with all the probiotics that it contains! Disclaimer: Although this is a fun and Valentine’s colored treat, we recommend giving this treat to your pup in a confined and easy to clean space, and definitely not on your carpet!

Meat Lovers Stack Recipe:

  • Chicken Broth (organic/low sodium)
  • Dog Food
  • Chicken (cubed)
  • All Beef Hot Dog (cubed)
  • Peanut Butter
  • KONG Mini Meat Bites

First put 1 tablespoon of peanut butter at the bottom of your classic KONG and freeze for 2-3 hours. This will keep your chicken broth from leaking while you stuff your KONG and when you go to freeze it. After you are done freezing the base, add the dog food at the bottom layer. Layer ( in no particular order)  the dog food, chicken, and hotdog. Then slowly pour the broth until it fills the space in the entire KONG. Place your kong carefully in a mug (see picture below), and then stick it in your freezer overnight. Whenever you are working with broth, or a liquid in your KONG, stick it in a coffee mug so it does not topple over and spill out while you freeze it.
