Pet Events in Austin

Having pets enriches our lives in many, many ways! They’re a reason for us to get up in the morning, to get out during the day, and to remain active and social. Pet friendly events combine the best of both worlds- socializing with people & pets! Here are the best re-occurring people & pet events in Austin, TX!

1. Austin Yappy Hour

The Irie Bean Coffee Bar hosts a monthly Austin Yappy Hour on the last Friday of each month. You & your furry friends can enjoy a night out and a bit of pampering. Stock up on doggy gear, get your pup a much needed nail trim, and learn various training tips from experts on the spot. What more can a PetParent ask for?

2. Mega Mutt Mondays

This pet friendly happy hour is put on by Bangers on the third Monday of every month. From 5-7 PM, you & your pup can enjoy beers and a pub meal on the pet friendly patio. We’re only sad this is a monthly instead of weekly event! Bangers is a great place to hang with your dog and they’ve always got a great environment going on!

Poochinis & Peticures is held during the first Thursday each month, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. During this exciting and pet friendly event, you can enjoy a Poochini Martini courtesy of Tito’s Vodka while your pup gets a nail trip from our friends at Mud Puppies. All of your gracious donations benefit local rescues.

Upcoming Months:

  • 9/4/14 – Lizzy’s Hospice House
  • 10/2/14 – Texas Humane Legislation Network
  • 11/6/14 – German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue

This super social Yappy Hour is sponsored by Whole Foods Stores. It’s a lovely time to stop out and enjoy a craft brew & some live music on the patio with your pup. Yappy Hour runs every Thursday from 5-8 pm, and is being held at Public Domain. Locals make this a weekly occurrence, and there’s no reason you shouldn’t join in on the fun as well!
